As promised in my previous Max Factor foundation review of 21-07-2020, I came back with a new review as soon as possible. I tested this product over the weekend, because both days I was mainly busy with Go Fest 2020 (Yes, I do indeed play Pokemon Go. I'm a loyal member of team Mystic by the way). In this review you also read how I prepared for Go Fest 2020 and what I did especially.

 

The product I'm going to talk about today is called the Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation. This should therefore represent a primer, concealer and foundation in 1 product. As an extra, this foundation contains SPF20.

 

This product has been on the market for a long time. Actually when I was a teenager, but as a teenager I never thought of trying Max Factor products. So this product is really completely new to me. I've always looked at Max Factor's shelves. I think this is the only foundation from the old foundations that it has managed to keep up.

 

This product comes in a small glass bottle with a black hard plastic cap. The bottle gives away the idea of ​​a cylinder shape, but more oval. I honestly am not a fan of the cap. This one seems really cheaply made and I don't know if it's mine, but it's not really tight. I can take it off very easily.

 

When we take the cap off the bottle, we see a pump. As most of you know by now I'm really a fan of pumps. For the new cherries among us .... The reason why I'm a huge fan of pumps with a foundation, BB cream or CC cream is because you have a good chance of measuring the right amount. In the past I have really tried a lot of foundations, BB creams etc. and most were just those squeeze tubes. Often they are nicely packed or the tube itself is just very beautiful, but measuring the amount is difficult. 9 out of 10x you take a larger amount than intended.

 

The Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation previously came in a different type of packaging. The cap was transparent instead of black and the hexagonal sticker was square. The amount of SPF has remained the same. What has improved over the years is the amount of colors available now. In the time of the old packaging, there were mainly 13 colors on the market. Max Factor has expanded this considerably and there are now a total of 40 different foundation colors available. For yellow tones, red tones, warm tones, cold tones and so on.

 

 

 

Texture and scent 
I'll be very honest. When I pumped a certain amount on my hand for the first time, the texture was very watery (see my hand). I couldn't smear it like I normally do. After pumping through several times, the texture became slightly thicker. Unfortunately, due to the texture, I immediately noticed that the coverage of this foundation was low to medium.

 

The only thing I cannot describe properly is the fragrance of this foundation. It has a light perfume fragrance. A little floral, but at the same time it also smells very powdery. I don't really know what to think of the fragrance. In any case, it doesn't disturb during application.

 

For this foundation I used a beauty blender (^_^)

The Saturday and Sunday of July 25 and 26 was the official Pokemon Go Fest 2020. An event that as a Pokemon Go trainer you did not want to miss!
Chance for legendary pokemons, many new shinies and especially good rewards! So my boyfriend (Team Valor) and I got up early on Saturday to get ready. We wanted to be in one of our favorite cities on time and for that we had to pick up some good friends from him. Of course I wouldn't go to Pokemon Go Fest 2020 without my trainer outfit and makeup!

 

In the pictures below I don't wear make-up. The redness and large pores are visible as normal. I also have a bit of dark circles under my eyes. My wound has not fully recovered after the surgery and I was woken up some nights by pressing "pain". I didn't have much sleep before this event XD

Promises and description (according to Max Factor's official website):

Max Factor actually describes this product as "the perfect foundation", because who wouldn't want to have a primer, concealer and foundation in 1 product? Nobody. Everyone would like this!!! Let's take a look at what the foundation actually did. Since I had to rush for the festival, I had completely finished my make-up.

 

The color I used is called "Warm Almond" and it's also known as number 45. This foundation spreads very nicely, so you don't really have to use a lot with a skin without problems. I used an amount I thought I needed due to my redness. The foundation is not full coverage at all. It really has low to medium coverage. You see this especially in my cheeks, with the redness going through my bronzer. You also see my pores. So I don't agree with this promise, nor with the promise that it glides over imperfections. I must admit that the dark circles around my eyes are less dark. It does something, but for better coverage you should use an extra concealer. I do agree 100% that it helps against an uneven skin tone.

 

A matte, radiant finish is indeed the finish you get after application. I made it more matte by applying a powder over it. Waterproof is correct, because it had rained a bit there that day. It held out well. Sweat resistant and touch resistant finish? Hmm ... These were okay. In the middle of the day I had to do a bit of blotting, but it was not much. It's not really sweat resistant, but it lasts well through the day (^_^)

Another bun on the head! It was the end of Saturday and I was so happy when I finally got home from Day 1 Pokemon Go Fest. I was literally burned down and in need of my bed. Walked long distances and of course both me and the girlfriend of my friend's good friend have had women's therapy. At one point we had everything done, but the men still wanted to continue catching everything and we were both like ... Let's go shopping XD


Anyway.... Here you see the foundation after a total duration of 12 hours. As mentioned earlier, I had to blot a bit, but otherwise it really lasted a long time. I am very surprised about the longevity, because I did not expect this with the low to medium coverage. The redness started to show itself more, but not that it was really striking or something. This foundation is okay. Sure!

My personal opinion and score
The Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation is ideal for when you're going somewhere or during the summer and don't want to wear a lot of makeup during the day. It doesn't have the best coverage in the world when you suffer from redness, but it generally gives a natural look. It also lasts a long time, which really surprises me. In general, there are 2 to 3 points of the promises that have not been kept, but the rest does Max Factor live up to with this foundation. I personally find this foundation okay. It's not great in my view, but certainly not bad either. It does have something. I will definitely wear it for when I need to get out. My personal score for this foundation is 7.5/10!

BUFF AND CLEANSE BRUSH  + JADE FACIAL ROLLER (The Vintage Cosmetic Company): In several reviews I have often given advice to use an (automatic) facial brush with certain cleansing foams/washes, but unfortunately I had none anymore. So when I saw this I was immediately like "I must have this one!" This brush has 2 different sides. The pink side contains a silicone brush to gently exfoliate the face and the white side contains a brush like any face brush to complete the final step. I tried this brush the day after and don't regret my purchase!
I actually bought the jade facial roller because I read somewhere that it helps with blood circulation. It would also help against dark circles around the eyes, (starting) wrinkles, skin elasticity and reducing headaches. I don't believe it helps against wrinkles, but I do believe it can certainly help with blood circulation that I actually bought it for. You usually see a green jade or a rose quartz, but this is a white jade. You also often see a smooth roller, but this one has a grip that resembles a roller to prevent acne scars. I prefer these kind of rollers.

 

RITUALS AYURVEDA EN HAMMAM HAIR & BODY MIST: It's no secret that I'm a big fan of the Rituals brand! I currently use the hair & body mist from the ritual of Sakura, but on Saturday I also got the hair & body mist from the ritual of Ayurveda and Hammam. These three are my favorite rituals, because the scents stays the longest on me. Especially on the skin. I don't have this with the other rituals, but I like the other rituals, for example, to use the other products that don't require contact with the body (such as scented candle, for example). My advice is to use this product especially when you have a party or go somewhere and you want a nice scent in the hair (or on your body). I would personally not use for every day, because the bottle can run out quickly. So it depends on how rich you are XD

Ayurveda and sakura are actually the sweetest of all rituals so far. Of which Ayurveda is the sweetest. If you don't like sweet scents, then I don't recommend this for you. Then you can, for example, start looking at buddha, hammam or jing (formerly dao). The hair & body mist from Jing is also one of the best-selling. When I enter the Rituals store I usually see 2 boxes. So they go really fast!

 

RITUALS Fortune Balm (RED): I actually bought this, so that I could get my gift as a Ritual Member. Hahahaha, but it is a nice addition to my other colored lip balms. I also wear this lip balm in the photo. It doesn't give an extremely red color, but it's certainly protective. It contains shea butter and aloe vera. Moreover, the housing is a nice gadget.
