L'Oréal Paris C'est Magic Anti-Redness CC Cream
20-03-2021

Hey Cherries and welcome to my review on the L'Oréal Paris CC C'est Magic Anti-Redness CC Cream. This month I have been looking for new foundation / BB cream / CC cream. This CC cream has not been asked to review this year, but I would like to review it as it has piqued my curiosity. In addition, I have redness in my face. I've always had this from childhood, but as a child I had it much worse compared to now. So I am very curious about this product!

This product has been on the market for a long time. It was released together with an anti-dullness variant (pink glam nude packaging), but the latter is unfortunately no longer available in the future if I have to believe the latest update. L'Oréal Paris has stopped making the anti-dullness variant.

Packaging, texture and color

Previously, the CC cream came in an eye-catching and shining tube. Now it comes in a more professional packaging. The tube is white and the name of the product is printed on it in bold. Everything you need to know about this product is stated on the tube. I think the new packaging not only looks professional, but also medical. It reminds me a lot of the medical tube packaging from the pharmacy.

The purpose of this CC cream is to combat redness on the face. In order to do this, we need a color that is the opposite of red and that is green. The color of the CC cream is therefore green. Ultimately, it should change to your skin color.

The texture of this cream is light and quite watery in my opinion. So I honestly don't expect much from this product, but I'm just going to try it! (^.^) When I spread the cream, it quickly changes to a beige color which is very cool!

Promises / Description L'Oreal Paris
L'Oréal Paris says the following about this product: "CC C'est Magic has the same unique formula as that of CC cream Glam Nude. With CC C'est Magic CC cream, or color correcting cream, you ensure that red tones are visible. on the skin are corrected by the green-colored formula, which makes the skin look smoother and hides red spots on the skin, because the colors red and green are complementary, so that the redness in the face is less visible with the CC cream.

CC C'est Magic has an ultra-light and non-greasy texture, which makes the cream feel nice on the skin, without mask effect. The CC cream formula also contains intelligent Color-OsmoseTM pigments. On contact with the skin, the green formula transforms into a skin-specific color, which merges perfectly with the skin. CC C'est Magic CC cream moisturizes and nourishes the skin for up to 24 hours. In addition, the CC cream is enriched with SPF 20 to protect the skin against the harmful effects of UV radiation. CC C'est Magic cream provides natural coverage.

Let's see what it does on my face (^_^)

In the first series of photos, I do not have the product on my face. You can clearly see my natural redness and I have some blemishes on my face. All I have on my face are my products that I am currently using in the current facial care routine. I posted this on my blog not long ago. So if you are interested, you can definitely find it! In the second set of photos you can see the product on my face after the cream has changed and oxidized.

In terms of result, I found it a bit disappointing for me. It largely corrected my redness, but the areas near my cheeks remained a bit on the red side. Also the redness around the blemishes did not correct. You can clearly see this.

This CC cream gives an even and natural finish. The coverage is light, which I would have expected somehow due to the texture. A matte finish. So a powder over it is not necessary. Is of course recommended for a nicer finish.

About 5 hours later I had applied my full makeup. My redness on the cheeks came through a bit more and I wanted to camouflage it for the evening as I went to see my boyfriend. He was away for 2 months because of his work and is now finally back home.
So of course we wanted to celebrate this together! (^_^)

For my cheeks, I used the NYX Professional Makeup California Beamin 'bronzer in number 3 "Sunset Vibes". Also known as CALIBB03 and REVOLUTION Makeup Revolution London Highlighter Reloaded in "Just My Type",

For my eyes I only used eyeshadow. I forgot to apply my eye primer (oops XD) and these eyeshadows are all from the Urban Decay Naked3 Palette. All over my eyelid I chose the color Dust and in the crease of my eyes I chose Burnout. For a smokey "eyeliner" line I used the color Darkheart. Normally I do the line much better with eyeshadow, but for some reason it just didn't work today, hahaha XD

For my eyebrows I used the NYX Professional Makeup Eyebrow Cake Powder in number 5 "Brunette". Also known as ECP05 and for my lips I have the RITUALS La Vie en Rose Smooth Color Gloss in "Pale Pink".

So below the real complete look (^_^)

>>>>> 12 hours (total) later <<<<<
3....2...1...AND WE ARE LIVE FROM THE BATHROOM OF MY BOYFRIEND! OMG THE LIGHT!!!!!!! XD

After a total time of 12 hours, there is still a lot of CC cream on both my face and neck. It has faded on the décolleté and on my cheeks as well, but after hugging when you haven't been able to see your boyfriend for 2 months, it also makes a lot of sense.
In my opinion, it has held up pretty well. I'm really surprised about this! Especially when I went to take it away with makeup remover. I have included two pictures where you can see both the front and back of my used cotton pads and you can see how much CC Cream is still coming off my face and neck. Really not normal! (^_^)

Personal opinion and score
The L'Oréal Paris CC C'est Magic Anti-Redness CC Cream. I definitely recommend for people who suffer from facial redness, but not too extreme. In my opinion, this CC cream is not strong enough for that. It largely corrects redness, but not hyperpigmentation due to acne or other factors, for example. You will then see dark beige dots. I also recommend this CC cream for people who have a medium skin tone or have it due to self-tanners for example, because it should be made for light to medium, but it really comes out as a golden shade on my face, neck and décolleté. While this should actually change more to my own skin color. I think I'll keep this one until I'm back in my summer complexion or use self-tanner, because for now it's a little too dark for me.

What I really like about this product is that despite the light coverage, it comes across as very natural and it stays in place if you don't do crazy things like hugging someone flat, hahaha! It's certainly not a wrong product to have. Very nice as an everyday basis for your makeup. Hydrating with SPF20, but personally I wouldn't buy this product a second time. I think this CC cream is not strong enough for my redness on the cheeks. So I need a stronger, green CC cream in this area, but I really enjoyed trying it out. It's really not a bad product!

My personal score for this product is an 8.5/10!
