L'Oréal Paris Skin Paradise Tinted Water-Cream
13-03-2021
Good day Cherries! (^.^) How are you? I hope you are all healthy and that you are doing well.
This week I have been looking for new foundation / BB cream / CC cream to review. I've finally run out of my Skin79 BB cream! The following products have not been asked by several of you to review, but both this review and the upcoming review are based on my own curiosity about these products.
I stopped by the drugstore this week and couldn't resist looking at L'Oréal Paris as there are two products from the brand that piqued my curiosity. One of these has been on the market for quite some time, but just never bought it in the older packaging and the other hasn't been on the market for very long. I bought the following two products: Skin Paradise Tinted Water-Cream and CC C'est Magic Anti-Redness Skin Enhancer. In this review I am going to talk about the Skin Paradise Tinted Water-Cream.
Packaging, colors and texture
The product comes in a 30ML squeeze tube with a rose gold cap. I really like the tube! The top is rose gold and the bottom is white. There are those water droplets on it that you can feel. Very special, but the latter really completes the packaging. The text is also very clear and everything you need to know is stated on the tube.
L'Oréal Paris describes this watery cream as a BB cream. So I will be using the term BB cream throughout my review. Unfortunately, this BB cream doesn't have many colors to choose from. Four colors are available:
- Fair 02
- Fair 03 (my choice)
- Light 03
- Medium 02
I hope that L'Oréal Paris will one day market several colors of this product, because otherwise I think it is very unfair for the people who don't come across the above colors. I think everyone should get a chance to buy a foundation, BB cream or CC cream. In whatever skin color.
I have chosen the color Fair 03, because the transition from my jawline to neck with this color matches the best. Fair 02 was unfortunately a bit too light and yellowish for me. The color is clearly darker on my hand, but you should never look at what the color looks like on your hand, because looks can be deceiving. You can really determine this by looking at the transition from your jawline to neck.
The texture of this BB cream is watery and light as mentioned. I don't expect too much coverage myself, but we'll see that later. This cream does spread quite nicely, but I expect that I will have to use more to completely cover my face with the cream. Let's see what it does and what L'Oréal Paris promises (^.^)
Promises
L'Oréal Paris describes this product as follows: “Go for a natural make-up look with the L'Oréal Paris Skin Paradise BB cream available in 4 colors. The BB cream is enriched with SPF20 to protect the facial skin against harmful effects of the sun. The formula contains ginger extract and aloe vera for a radiant looking skin. The Skin Paradise BB cream gives a subtle effect for a nude look The coverage of the tinted day cream is exactly between the coverage of a BB cream and a foundation. This makes the skin look smoother and the skin is cared for at the same time. 24 hours hydrating ".
Since I don't know how hydrating this product is going to be, I followed my morning facial care routine. If you would like to know what I currently use in my facial care routine, you can click on the button below. This will take you to an external tab where my new facial care routine is shared.
My first impression was.....Okay..... This is really light ass coverage. My natural redness shines through the BB cream and it does not cover the impurities either. To be honest, I didn't expect much from the coverage, as it is a watery BB cream and L'Oréal Paris indicated that it was a light coverage. What actually bothered me directly about the cream was that it started to attach in the pores. I have visible pores of my own which make me see things like this very quickly. I was able to fix it a bit afterwards with some powder.
The positive things I have been able to observe is that it really gives the finish what it promises. It looks very fresh and natural. It evens out the skin and provides instant hydration. Not much. So you should definitely use a normal cream or primer underneath, but at least it gives something. A radiant looking finish. Even after applying powder (^.^)
Now I'm going to do the rest of my makeup because I have a lot to do today. I'm going to pick up my new earrings, hahaha and I'm going to visit a very good friend of mine. His birthday is in 4 days, but I'm going to give him a nice present. So for a change I got myself dressed up. I also haven't seen him for 7 months because of the pandemic. So it's nice to speak with him (from a distance of course!).

After a period of 10 hours, the BB cream actually still looks very good. It remains that very nice natural result. You can still see the beautiful ray on the face. Unfortunately, the BB cream remains in the pores. It does not improve during the day, but this doesn't have to be a major problem. You can fix it a bit with powder and when you use makeup over the cheeks, this is less visible. I haven't done it for today so you can get a better look at the BB cream.
Personal opinion and score
I recommend the L'Oréal Paris Skin Paradise Tinted Water-Cream for people who don't have many skin problems and want to make their face look smoother. Who want to have a natural, but refreshing look and don't like much makeup on the face.
This product seems to me really ideal for the summer when you don't want to wear a lot of makeup on the face. It provides hydration, but don't expect it to be moisturizing like a normal moisturizing cream. In my view suitable for all skin types. It is nice that this product offers protection against the sun with SPF20. I personally find SPF20 on the low side for me so I'm definitely going to use my sunscreen under, but it's definitely a bonus.
If I have to base the score of this product on the promises made by L'Oréal Paris then I should definitely give it a 10 because it really delivers on all its promises, but if I have to base it on how it works on the skin then it is a 9/10 in my opinion! What it gives is also precisely described by L'Oréal Paris and the brand doesn't give you false hope about this product. It doesn't make promises it can't keep.
