Max Factor Miracle Second Skin Hybrid Foundation

Heey Cherries!!! Today I'm going to take you through a foundation of the Max Factor brand and it's called the "Miracle Second Skin Hybrid Foundation". In addition, I will also briefly talk about a concealer that I bought. The concealer is also from the Max Factor brand and it's called the "Facefinity All Day Flawless Concealer". I bought the foundation in number 03-Light and the concealer in Shade 030.

Recently I have started using self-tanning products again, because I'm pale myself and I like to sport a healthy tan in spring. Not too dark for myself, but against the medium. So that's why I bought products that are a bit darker than you are used to from me. There will soon be a review about the self-tanning product. I'm still looking at some things before I come with a final review. So stay tune ^_^

 

To apply this product on my face every day, I use a beauty blender. Due to the light in my room, it's not clearly visible in the photo, but it's a very affordable beauty blender. I got this from the Kruidvat. It's a combination between lilac and green. When using a beauty blender, make sure it is well moist. Otherwise, the finish may be disappointing and the sponge may not function properly. Most try to avoid beauty blenders because they generally absorb a lot.

Packaging

The product comes in a shiny tube. I think the outside looks luxurious. Both the top and bottom are gold plated. Letters are clearly visible. You can read the words well and what I really appreciate about this packaging is that it's finally a tube with a pump! I have seen so many tubes in the past without pumps and for me it's really a big drama! I always take a little too much or just a little too little. With a pump I always feel like "YEEESSSZZZ !!"

Another thing I appreciate about the packaging is that the color of the foundation is clearly visible. What the color on the packaging looks like is really the color that comes on your face. So you will not be tricked by Max Factor!

Texture and scent

In the right picture I show you the texture of both products. Above is the texture of the concealer. You notice that unlike the foundation it's slightly darker in color, but you should never start from the colors on your hand, because remember that it will look very different on your face! These two products also go very well together!

 

The texture of the concealer is thick. Really the texture you can expect. I have hardly used concealers before, because I personally am more of a fan of color correctors. Ever since I've started tanning again, I've been taking a shot for a more natural look. The smell reminds me of child glue XD

 

The texture of the foundation is slightly watery. Strangely enough, this doesn't surprise me, because the product contains coconut milk. The fragrance is therefore also much more pleasant compared to the concealer. It really smells awesome!

Promises

Max Factor indicates the following about this foundation. "The new MAX FACTOR Miracle Second Skin Hybrid Foundation renews, protects and moisturizes with a finish that resembles your own skin. The foundation fades imperfections, protects the skin and gives it an even complexion. The foundation is enriched with skin-friendly nutrients such as coconut milk, glycerine and aloe vera. It helps balance your skin and makes your skin as beautiful as the inside ".

 

Let's see if there is some truth in it. In the first series of photos, I don't have the product on my face yet. You can clearly see that I have a tan. I'm no more pale than I was before. This also helps very well with my natural redness as it's generally less noticeable. It doesn't mean I don't want to cover it. So let's see what happens when I apply the product to my face.

In the second series of photos I only applied the product to my face. There is a clear difference between before and after applying this product. 
This product has low coverage that you can build up slightly, but don't expect this foundation to give you great coverage. The purpose of this foundation is mainly to give a natural look that also works. The low coverage doesn't surprise me, frankly, because the texture is watery.

I agree that this product gives an even complexion, moisturizes and protects the face. The product also contains SPF20. So a factor of 20 sunscreen that protects your skin from the sun. This is generally on the low side, but most American and European foundations have this factor. So it's very normal for us.

 

The only thing I disagree with is the blurring of imperfections. These are still clearly visible, but you can camouflage some with concealer.
This product works very well in combination with the Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless Concealer ^_^

Here my complete look! I kept it very natural that day, because I was mainly working at home and later I went for a walk to rest my eyes. Sitting for 8 hours behind a laptop eventually brings computer eyes and I was very happy when the day was over, hahaha XD I use a few other products. Do you remember when I said I don't like eyebrow powders? I finally found one that suits my needs and stays put despite my large pores. If you don't really like natural eyebrows, I would avoid this eyebrow product, but I absolutely love it!

Personal opinion and score

I'm very satisfied with this product. It largely delivers on its promises, and Max Factor clearly doesn't fool us. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a foundation with a natural and fresh finish. Not everyone likes a clear picture. The product is a bit pricey, but you get a lot in return. In addition, you need to check that you don't need much. One pump is enough for the entire face. So it's also economical! My personal score for this product is definitely 9.5/10!
