These products have been in possession since winter (also said in the Japanese skincare routine) and were not purchased or ordered when the coronavirus became known in the world. Be safe, healthy and don't just order from other countries if you want to try these products for yourself. Wait until this is over (which may take a while) !!!

 

Good morning Cherry!!!! It's time to freshen up for a brand new day! One only washes the face with water. The other with a washcloth, but I wash my face with a product that I have known for 2 years. It's still one of my favorite cleansing washes from Japan and it's called the Rohto Mentholatum Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Face Wash.

This beauty product from Japan is an example of a product that you can use in the morning. Also very ideal for in the shower, because it's not a cleansing foam. Japan is known as the only Asian country with the most cleansing washes. A cleansing wash hardly occurs in other Asian countries, but what are the differences between a cleansing foam and wash? I'm going to tell you that now! ^_^

 

Distinguishing cleansing foam and wash

The main differences between a cleansing foam and wash are the texture and properties. A cleansing foam is in fact a (thick) paste that you transform into foam, but also really a normal to large swipe in your hands. You do this by continuing to rub with wet hands. Often you get the best out of a cleansing foam by using a foaming net or if you want to keep your hands dry, an automatic facial brush. A cleansing wash often has a much softer and thinner paste that's easy to transform into a foam that you get with soap, for example. This is the maximum foam you can get. A cleansing wash is often much milder for the face than a cleansing foam. Most cleansing foams are real "die hard" make-up cleaners. While cleansing washes are specially made to do only the necessary things in the morning (or evening when you don't have any makeup on.)

 

Below I show you the texture of the cleansing wash that I'm going to review today. A large amount of pasta isn't required. This is more than enough. From the photos you can see that it's a very soft texture that's easy to spread over the hand. Add some water and voila. It's ready to use :)

This cleansing wash is purely focused on hydration. Before I tell you how it feels on the face, I'm going to take you through the promises of this product. From the promises, the feeling that the cleansing wash gives you also becomes clearer. Rotho Mentholatum's promises regarding this product are the following:

1. The Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Face Wash is a mild, elastic cleansing foam that leaves the face soft, moisturizing and clean.

2. It hydrates the face by using 2 different hyaluronic acid. One is known for remaining on the face after you wash the face. The other can contain about twice as much water as normal hyaluronic acid, which is already known by itself for its high water absorption capacity.

3. Great for sensitive and dry to combination skin.

 

This cleansing wash is very easy to use. You can easily do this only with your hands. Eventually you will feel the hyaluronic acid that remains on the skin. This is the moment that indicates that you can now wash the product off the face. The result is indeed as promised. A soft, moisturizing and clean face. It feels like you have a light cream layer on the face. This result is very useful when you get out of the shower. Usually the face after shower is a lot drier than before. So to moisturize the face a little before you get out of the shower, you can just use this product. I often use it myself when I take a shower in the morning or evening (when I have not had any makeup on) and I'm very satisfied. Although I have known this product for 2 years, my opinions about this product haven't changed. I sometimes come back to this product when I find that I need or miss it ^_^

 

Something I have always appreciated about this cleansing wash is the fact that it contains a pH level of 5.5. So this product is certainly mild on the face. It also contains no alcohol and other ingredients that are disturbing or annoying. Ideal also for sensitive skin.

 

My personal opinion and score

This product is recommended for anyone looking for a hydration boost in the morning and want to immediately cleanse the face. Very ideal before using a serum or cream. Also ideal for in the shower or bath. The packaging is a soft and fine type of plastic that doesn't tear. Another useful fact is that this product is quite cheap. You don't have to use a lot of product. So a little bit goes a long way! You get so much good quality for a low price. Take care with your eyes! This product is not friendly to the eye area. This product gets a 9.5/10 from me!
