Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint (Cherryade)

"I can hardly bear the sight of lipstick on the cigarettes there in the ashtray... Lyin' cold the way you left 'em, but at least your lips caressed them while You packed... Or the lip-print on a half-filled cup of coffee that you poured and didn't drink! But at least you thought you wanted it, that's so much more than I can say for me.."

THE FIRST REVIEW OF 2019, CHERRIES !! WOEHOE !!!! ^.^
My Christmas message from last year on my blog has indicated what will happen next year on my blog. I received some requests via the mailbox and I made a list with the requested products. I finish the entire list and start with the product that has been asked the most which is this product. The Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint!
I found it funny when I came across this very often, because I had kept my eyes on this product for a long time. I always wanted to try out this product, but first I wanted to run out of my old lip tints. In addition, this product has become as much requested as the Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint that I have been using for 2 years. There is also a review of it which comes out today!
Personally, I don't know if I can do all the requests in a year, because I'm currently very focused on my work outside the blog. In addition, there are some requested products that I have to use for a while before I can write a complete review. This for the best possible advice and conclusion. So it will take some time, but in between I do reviews of the other products that can go with a first impression. Such as cushions, foundations etc.
The Etude House Dear Darling Water Lip Tint comes in 3 colors:
1. Cherry ade (My choice. A strong, cherry-red tint)
2. Strawberry ade (A deep pink tint with a hint of fuchsia The name for this color sounds illogical in my ears, because strawberry is red and this color is just really pink, so I don't get the click, but maybe it's me XD)
3. Orange ade (An orange shade that ends naturally)
This product was one of the first Korean lip shades on the market and previously there were only 3 colors on the market. In Korea, bright red, deep pink and orange are very popular colors in lip colors. Especially pink! Nowadays lip tints come in multiple colors and brown has also found its way onto the Korean market! : D
Packaging and Texture
As I wrote earlier, this product was one of the very first Korean lip shades on the market. So the housing is in my view also quite logical for what you get. A simple glass jar of 10g with a hard plastic closure. Nowadays the tints are a lot thicker in texture, but in the 'old generation' it was especially as thin as water. This is literally water that you bring over the lips, but then colored. Nice and numb and playful! You can apply as many layers as you wish, but I recommend starting with 1 layer.
Pigment
I chose the red color, because personally I don't think deep pink and orange suit me, but I can tell you that the pigment in this lip shade is very strong! This I can prove to you with the pictures below!
On the first photo you see the lip tint on my lips.
On the second photo you see a swatch over my hand. You can see that it's dried up above, but that it's still a bit wet below. The print is strong!
In the third photo I did a water test. I tried to wash away the stain from my hand, but if you look closely you can still see a bit of the stain.
Conclusion: The product is not completely waterproof! It can have some water, but a lot of water will make the product fade away!
Result and Duration
The result is absolutely wow because of the strong color, but also a bit disappointing. In the second photo I want to show you that it attaches very quickly to the lip lines. Even though you lubricate it very nicely .... For some reason it sticks out a little bit and I can't figure out why. On the third photo you see that I point to the center of my lips. The product also adheres very much. Especially not useful when you have dry lips, but this product was made for the famous Korean gradient lip finish anyway. So from there I can understand why this product does attach at those parts of the lips. Personally, I find it a bit too much, because all the strong pigment goes to the lines (like on the last photo).
Generally very good result, but to maintain the full lip look instead of gradient you must continue to lubricate with this product. So I think I'm through this lip tint in no time :/
First photo taken on Tuesday 8 January at 6.30 AM. The last photo taken on the same day at 5.30 PM. Total time duration = 11 hours
In terms of duration, this product stays on your lips for a long time. It starts to attach after 2 hours to the lip lines and in the center of the lips. At the end of the day, the color has largely faded. You can still see the color on the lip lines, but for the rest you see my own natural lip color.
Personal opinion and score:
This product is really ideal for women who are a big fan of gradient lips! It attaches well in the middle of the lips which is necessary for the gradient look. Only not beautiful when your lips are very dry of course. In terms of a full look, it's a matter of always keeping up. I'm often too lazy for that, but if I do it, I'll keep on doing it all the time. So I think I'm quickly through this lip tint. The result is generally also very good. In addition, the product also smells good, tastes good, does not stick, numb, lots of pigment and long-lasting .... So I have no further comments. In my opinion, the most requested product in my mailbox is worth an 8/10!
