SABRINALACHERRY | Q&A ALL STARS | 2024
[ A collection of the most frequently asked questions ]
Hey Cherries and welcome to the Q&A all stars where I have put together a collection of the most frequently asked questions to me in recent years. With this message I secretly intend that the questions below will no longer be asked (just kidding! ^.^) Enjoy reading and we will see each other soon at the first official Q&A of 2024. Many burning questions have been received and I am looking forward to them! See you all soon!
1) How did you came up with the blog name, your blog personality SabrinaCherry?
The name of my blog and blog personality actually came from the fact that it's a very old nickname of mine. I didn't came up with the nickname myself. My old friends made it up at the time. They thought I finished everything like the Cherry on top.
I couldn't be missed, hahahaha! When I started this blog I thought of different names that I could use, but nothing felt more natural than my old nickname. So, that's how I came up with it. As many of you might have noticed, I started to make it a bit more dramatic by adding "La". It doesn't make any sense, though. I wanted something more dramatic XD
2) What's your favorite brand of mascara?
L'Oréal Paris
3) Which makeup product is ALWAYS in your normal or makeup bag?
The NYX Professional Makeup Butter Gloss in the color I'm using that day. It's an OG. I'm using that product like forever. Hopefully they won't be discontinued ever or else I'm gonna be dissatisfied.
4) Do you have a favorite makeup brand?
No, I don't. I like to experiment and use makeup from different brands.
5) Who was your movie crush when you were a child?
Chris Pine
6) Do you believe in having a soulmate or something relatable? What are your thoughts on it?
I do believe in having a soulmate, but not only one. I'm a strong believer of people having more than one soulmate and I don't believe a soulmate must be always in a romantic way. Personally, I think you can find soulmates in strangers, (new) friendships and family too. Regardless of age, gender or distance.
7) Which review on your blog do you like the most?
The one I did for the Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip Cleansing Foam. It's an old one.
8) How did you take care of your acne back in your teenage and 20s years? Do you have any tips?
My number 1 tip has always been to put your faith in skincare products that are fully known to combat acne. Do good research on them! When I was suffering from acne in the past, I used products from the Japanese Mentholatum Acnes series. I still swear on this day they are the best products I have ever used in the past to combat acne.
Another kind of product that I highly recommend and used in the past were "drying lotions". They are also known as pink or red powder spot lotions by Korean skincare brands. I remember trying the lotions from Lioele, Etude House and Ciracle, because those were the only drying lotions available back in the day. Now there are more cosmetic brands who have their own drying lotions. A famous one which is easy to get in the country where I come from is by the brand Mario Badescu.
The last product that I'm still a huge fan of (even though I don't suffer from it anymore) is the tea tree oil by The Body Shop. Tea tree oil is a good known treatment for acne and wounds. I still like to carry this one with me just in case. You never know when you might use it.
9) Are you an introvert or extrovert?
To be honest I can't put myself for 100% in either of them. I have lots of traits that are extrovert while at the same time I also like to do some introvert stuff every now and then.
10) No.1 on the bucket list?
Nevis swing in New Zealand
11) You have to choose to do one of the following things with a professional. Which one would it be? Paragliding from the side of a high mountain or skydiving?
Skydiving
12) Would you describe yourself as an adrenaline junkie?
Yes, totally!
13) Which song do you think describes the life we all secretly have in common?
It's a Dutch song called "Zing, vecht, huil, bid, lach, werk en bewonder" by Ramses Shaffy.
Translation for my international fans and new people: "Sing, fight, cry, pray, laugh, work and admire"
Fun fact: This song is the ending song of the Dutch Netflix horror series "Ares" (also available to watch in other countries)
14) How would you describe yourself as a person with your own believes?
Loyal and honest with a heart of gold. Also down to earth. It's how my closest friends describe me and I couldn't agree more. Me as personally, I feel like everyone should live their life how they want it. Also should dress the way how they want it. Regardless of how other people might think. You don't owe anything to those people and they gain nothing from talking bad about you. I've always said that we all are free to do whatever we think are good for our mental health and ourselves as a person.
The bitter pill everyone must take is that we all are not perfect and we all have our own things that we need to work on.
Everyone is a good or bad story in someone's chapter. It's not for you to decide which one you are. What I find extremely important is that we as individuals continue to grow in a good way. I'm not talking about career but as a person. It is important that you take responsibility for the things you do not do well, but thought you were doing well at the time. Everything in life is a learning process. You can only become the best version of yourself if you are willing to work for it and surround yourself with the people who are right for you. We all will find those people eventually. Live your life. Make it unforgettable for yourself as you get older and do as well as you can. Those are my believes.
15) Where do you come from?
The Netherlands
16) What's your favorite food?
Can I name more than one, please? Pierogi, Zurek, Gołąbki, Rosół, AVG'tje (in my kind of way 'cause I like it that way), Italian pasta, Spinazie stamppot met spek (translation: Spinach hotchpotch with bacon), Patatje oorlog (translation: war fries)
