TIRTIR Mask Fit Aura Cushion SPF30 PA++
13-08-2026

Hey Cherries, and for the people who don't know me, my name is Sabrina and I go through blog life as SabrinaLaCherry.

In the photos on the right, you can see two different cushions from the South Korean brand TIRTIR. TIRTIR has quickly become wildly popular in the cosmetics market with the red cushion, which is known for its top coverage. This is something I still want to see for myself. So a review of that will follow, but today I'm going to talk to you about the silver cushion found on the right. It is the TIRTIR Mask Fit Aura Cushion with SPF30 PA++.

Casing
The casing of the TIRTIR Mask Fit Aura Cushion matches the shape of the original cushion that started it all (the red one). It is a silver, egg-shaped compact with micro glitters incorporated into it. The compact features a button that allows you to lift the lid. When you lift the lid, we see an oval-shaped mirror covered with foil. The foil can, of course, be removed. We also see a sponge puff for applying the product and a sealing lid to cover the foundation properly so that it doesn't dry out.

The content of this product is 18 grams, which is slightly more than the standard content of a BB cushion or foundation cushion. Normally, a cushion contains 15 grams, but this one contains slightly more.

Unfortunately, this is not a cushion foundation with a refill. I tried pressing the back to see if it would come out, but unfortunately, it didn't. So, you will have to continuously purchase a new compact case. However, what I did notice in the store where I bought the cushion is that travel-size cushions were also available. So, you can buy a smaller quantity for traveling or if you aren't sure if this is the right product for you. Unfortunately, I noticed that just a little too late, after I had paid, otherwise I would have done so, but at least know that you can also buy a travel size of this cushion.

Available colors
Unlike many South Korean cosmetic brands, TIRTIR actually offers a wide range of colors. So, you have foundation shades from light to medium and from medium to dark. There is a lot of choice among the foundation colors. Very good for an international breakthrough! I personally bought this product in 17C Porcelain, which belongs to the light shades. This comes closest to my own skin tone when I don't have a summer tan. You will notice in this post that the foundation is currently a bit too light for me because I still have my summer tan, but it is ideal for my late summer and winter days, when my tan has faded.

Scent
In my personal opinion, the scent of the foundation is unpleasant. I think it smells like a strong alcohol marker. I have had many cushion foundations in the past, and some reviews are still on my blog, but I absolutely cannot imagine that you would want a cushion foundation to smell like this. I have never encountered such a smell in a cushion foundation before. No, you do not want to smell this one. Only apply it to your face if the result is good.

Promises and operation of the product
TIRTIR says the following about this product: "Achieve a radiant complexion with the TIRTIR Mask Fit Aura Cushion SPF30 PA++, a high-coverage cushion foundation that provides a radiant, semi-glossy finish. Enriched with patented white hyaluronate, birch sap, and algae extract, this cushion deeply hydrates while providing a glassy glow.

The Double Glow System, combined with a high-gloss film-forming agent, locks in moisture for a fresh, dewy look that lasts all day. With built-in SPF30 PA++ protection and a smudge-proof formula, this cushion foundation keeps your skin protected from UV rays while enhancing your natural glow with every touch-up. Suitable for all skin types, but is specifically designed for dry skin to make it glow."

Okay, so to sum it up simply. It promises a radiant, semi-glossy finish, high coverage, and good hydration in addition to the effect of the sunscreen. Hmm... I am very doubtful about the high coverage, because the foundation is on the watery side when you apply it. Let's see what the foundation does when applied to dry skin with natural redness and texture. In the first series of photos, I haven't applied the product to my face yet. In the second series of photos, I have.

Okay... I am genuinely deeply disappointed with the result. I immediately have negative flashbacks to the Shu Uemura Blanc Chroma Brightening UV Cushion Foundation, which was never worthy of a review on my blog. The result looks so similar, but unlike the Blanc Chroma cushion, this cushion actually lives up to its promises somewhat.

It does indeed provide a semi-glossy finish and my skin glows, but where is the high coverage? The natural redness on my nose, forehead, and cheeks is not covered at all, and I don't notice any hydration. The foundation looks very dry and there are patches present. Below you will find a close-up showing the dryness. The product also settles into the pores.

I find the result so terrible that I don't even feel like finishing my makeup, because I have the feeling that this foundation isn't fixable. Still, I'm going to try. I'm applying a translucent fixing powder in the hope that when it oxidizes a little, the foundation will start to set, but I'm afraid it won't. Other than that, I'm only applying a tinted lip balm and eyebrow pencil to fill in my eyebrows now that I'm back to brunette.

*6 hours later*

I don't understand it and I don't want to understand it. The result is still just as bad as after applying the product. The powder couldn't fix the foundation, which means the foundation itself isn't good. The dry patches are still present and the dryness persisted for those 6 hours. Below you can see the photos I took at the end of the day. I am happy to take the foundation off my face and end the day.

Personal opinion and score
My personal score for this product is a 3/10! It lives up to a number of promises, but the most important promises—the very ones that are supposed to ensure the foundation performs well—are not fulfilled with this product. Very disappointing! I don't know if it's because of my skin type that the foundation doesn't perform well, but I highly doubt it, because this product is largely made for the dry skin type. So, it is supposed to work well on dry skin, and the product doesn't do that at all. I don't understand it. Really I don't.

So, do you have dry skin with texture and natural redness, just like me? Just steer clear of this product. It is not worth about €25,-. There are better cushion foundations from South Korea on the market that do work well on dry skin and are even cheaper.

The only thing I like about the packaging is that its size reminds me of the Totally Spies compowder. "Hello, Jerry?"
