Today I brought someone to write a review about the TONYMOLY Tomatox Massage Pack together. Meet my good friend Meggie!
Meggie and I have known each other for two years and have become very good friends together. For her birthday I had a basket put together at a perfumery. The Tonymoly pack came with this basket and to be honest ..... I always wanted to review it!!! Meggie was given the great honor of doing this before me. So she came up with the idea to give this mask as a gift for my birthday as well! Meggie has now used it up. I've got half of this left.

 

Together we came up with the idea to do this blog post together, because we both have a completely different skin type. This allows us to give an idea to different people what the mask does for the face. In this review you will come across both facts and opinions. Ultimately, we have one conclusion about this product and our score for the mask.

The TONYMOLY Tomatox Massage Pack is known worldwide! It's known as the most popular cream mask from South Korea. Probably for a good reason, because it's at the same time one of the best-selling masks from South Korea, worldwide! This mask is also available in the Netherlands (country where I come from) at various web shops. The packaging of this mask is interesting. The housing corresponds to the name. Indeed! The product is in a large tomato made out of plastic. You can see this in the photo on the right as well as the photos below. It's a jar with a capacity of
80 grams.

 

When we open the jar, we see a lid made of plastic and a plastic spoon. With this spoon you can scoop the product out of the jar. This is ideal for people who want to keep it more hygienic. Another way, of course, is to put your fingers in the jar. You can do both. It's what you prefer.

 

 

 

 

Texture and fragrance
The texture of this mask corresponds to the texture of a thick cream. This mask is in fact a cream mask. When applied it looks like a clay mask as the color of the mask is bright white, but it's mostly cream. So herewith the distinction. The mask spreads nicely on the face. The intention is that you massage the product for 1 to 2 minutes. Then you let it sit for a certain amount of time. We will come back to this briefly.

 

The smell is different. You would think that this mask actually has the scent of a tomato, but this isn't the case. Besides tomato extract, this product contains other extracts. We will also come back to this briefly. We cannot really place the scent, but you can smell a strong combination between all those extracts. It's a fresh scent, but also really unique. Sweet and fresh.

Ingredients and effect
The TONYMOLY Tomatox Massage Pack contains many different ingredients, but today we will go through the working ingredients with you. The working ingredients are as follows:

1. Tomato extract / antioxidant solution -> This extract has detox properties to purify the skin of dirt.
2. Lemon extract / accelerating collagen synthesis -> This extract contracts the skin and provides accelerating and better elasticity. This is also an extract known as an antioxidant and leaves a glow on the face.
3. Baicha Extract -> This extract whitens the face. It's actually intended to combat dark spots on the face in order to create an even skin. Think of vitamin C serums. In addition, this extract helps with facial irritations. Ultimately, this extract is also intended to soften the skin.

4. Houstonia extract -> Houstonia is known as a mysterious herb with 10 kinds of properties. Some examples are anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-allergic, whitening (just like the baicha extract), activating term about to give clear skin tone.

 

So this mask aims to not only cleanse the face, but also soften it and make the face appear clearer than it is now. It is a multi-functional mask.

 

The purpose of this mask during application is to massage the mask for 1 to 2 minutes. Take the amount you think you need. For a deeper cleaning you can think of a really white face like the photos below. One layer is enough for normal cleaning. After massaging the mask onto the skin, let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. We recommend 10 minutes for the best results. Then rinse the face with lukewarm water.

 

You can normally use these types of masks 2 to 3 times a week, but this mask is formulated so that you can use it as often as you want. In fact, you can use this mask every day! So go crazy and decide for yourself how often you need it per week!

 

To show the result better, we decided that I (Sabrina) will take it upon myself to show the mask on the face. Mainly because of the fact that this mask has to work particularly purifying and I have large pores of my own. Above all, it gave the same result at Meggie. The only difference lies in the skin type and pore size. You can read the difference immediately in our personal opinion with score.

 

In the first series of photos, I wear the mask all over my face. In the second series I did a good close-up on my pores. This is a close up of x5.

Here you can see that no impurities have been left in the pores. The result is therefore magnificent!

Personal opinion and score
Meggie (Dry and sensitive skin): "The mask felt very nice on my skin! It felt a bit greasy and absorbed less well. That's because of my small pores. The mask gave me a good and fresh feeling. The skin as well and my skin felt instantly cared for, despite being greasy with application. I rate this mask 8.7 (^_^) "

 

Sabrina (Combo skin with large pores which is a bit on the dry side): "On the contrary to Meggie, it didn't feel greasy with application. My face did get a little greasy afterwards. I think this is because of our difference of skin type. The mask also gave me a good and fresh feeling on the face and it generally felt very nice on the skin. I feel that this mask will do particularly well on a face with large pores, because it works very purifying. Meggie and I both agree that this mask is definitely a must have for everyone. I will definitely keep buying this mask! I give this mask a score of 9.0! (^_^)"
