04-11-2026

Hey Cherries! And for those who have never heard of me or come across me before: my name is Sabrina, and in the blogging world, I go by the name SabrinaLaCherry. Welcome to my review of the Vaseline Gluta-Hya Lip Serum Gloss.

In this review, I will test and review all the available colors. More colors might be released in the future, but for now (2026), there are 4 in total.

In the order shown in the photo to the side, we have the following colors:

1) Juicy Peach
2) Royal Plum
3) Cherry Crush
4) Rosy Pink

Each of the available shades comes in its own distinct, eye-catching box, which you can find hanging on a rack at your local drugstore. I spotted them all in the lip balm section of my nearest drugstore, so there’s a good chance you’ll be able to find the glosses in person there, too. Of course, you can also order all these shades online. One thing I personally find to be a real advantage and something that immediately caught my eye—is that you can tell exactly which shade or variety you’re buying or picking up in the store; having the colors displayed on the box is super convenient! The back of the packaging lists the claims made by Vaseline, along with all the necessary product information.

All the tubes have a 10ml capacity. They are compact, simple, and easy to carry along in your (makeup) bag. Fun fact: the product contains SPF15. While SPF15 isn’t a high level of sun protection, it’s great to know that there’s at least some factor included. Something most serum glosses and lip balms lack entirely. Well done, Vaseline!

The texture is the same for all available shades. It is a soft, hydrating serum. You can feel the hydration the moment the product touches your lips or even when you just swatch it on your skin. When you squeeze the tube, it might look highly pigmented, but for two of the shades, that’s actually not the case at all. I’ll get to that in a moment, but first, let’s take a look at the claims Vaseline makes (^_^)

Promises and how the product works

According to Vaseline, the "Vaseline Gluta-Hya Lip Serum Gloss" with SPF15 is a hydrating lip balm that offers a serum-like treatment with a glossy finish. The gloss provides instant hydration, smooths the lips, and adds a subtle tint that enhances their natural color. Its lightweight, non-sticky serum-gloss texture is perfect for wearing on its own or as a shiny top coat over lipstick. It is designed to leave the lips feeling smooth, plump, and fresh.

In the photos below, I will go through the colors with you, one by one. I’d like to point out that not everyone has the same undertone in their lips; as a result, a particular shade might look different on me than it does on someone else. My own undertone is such that neutral, dark red, purple, and brown lip colors tend to look best on me, which is why I usually gravitate toward these types of shades when buying lipsticks and similar products.

Juicy Peach

The color has a soft, peachy-orange tone. In the photo on the left, I’ve applied one layer of the product to my lips. In the photo on the right, I’ve added a second layer; the pigmentation is much better that way. It’s clearly a light orange, but it doesn’t spread very evenly. You can see that quite well in the photo. For this particular shade, it looks better if you stick to just one layer. I almost hate to say it. It actually pains me a bit, but I think that, out of all the colors, this one is the most disappointing. It’s a lovely shade, but it doesn’t go well with everything. I’d be more inclined to wear this color during the autumn season.

Royal Plum

The shade has a slightly purple undertone. Almost identical to my natural lip color. It gives my lips an instant boost! In the photo on the left, I’ve applied one coat, and in the photo on the right, I’ve added a second. The pigment intensity remains the same, so a second coat isn’t actually necessary; a single layer delivers exactly the promised result: full, smooth, and fresh-looking lips! What’s more, I think this shade works just as well for the daytime as it does for the evening. It’s a lovely color to wear over lipstick, or for a night out. I LOVE IT!

Rosy Pink

The color is exactly as Vaseline describes it: a lovely, light, rosy pink. In my opinion, this is the most natural-looking shade of the four. It literally goes with everything, so it’s incredibly versatile! I also think this shade works beautifully layered over lipstick or for a night out. In the photo on the left, I’ve applied one coat to my lips, and in the photo on the right, I’ve applied two. It’s clear from the photo on the right that two coats is too much for this particular shade. It looks much better with just one. Much like with 'Juicy Peach,' the second coat doesn’t spread very evenly. So, it’s best to keep it natural! (^_^)

Cherry Crush

Here, too, the color is exactly as Vaseline describes it: a lovely cherry-red shade. There’s absolutely no need to apply a second coat. A single layer is enough to leave your lips looking full, smooth, and fresh! For this reason, I’ve included only one photo to show the color. It’s not quite my personal shade of red. I’d typically lean toward a darker red, but this would be perfect for those who can pull off a brighter, bolder red! It’s a great choice for both daytime and evening looks. The only downside, which you can also see in the photo, is that the color tends to settle into the fine lines of the lips.

Personal opinion and score
The Vaseline Gluta-Hya Lip Serum Gloss lives up to all its claims. It gives the lips a full, smooth, and fresh appearance. Furthermore, it provides excellent hydration and once it has fully absorbed, it leaves no sticky residue. Based on its promises and the actual results, I rate this product highly! You don’t need to use much either, so a single tube will last you quite a while. Naturally, you will need to reapply it after eating or drinking. It is a lip gloss, after all.

If I’m being critical and looking at the colors individually, each one has both pros and cons. Not every color works with every lip undertone. So, take a close look at which colors suit you best before making your choice.

My score is based purely on the final result, rather than on the individual colors. My personal rating for the product as a whole is 9.0/10!
