W7 Cosmetics Ultra Hydrating Face Mask

(I know it's not summer yet, but I like this song so.... XD)

Heey Cherries and welcome to my review about the W7 Cosmetics Ultra Hydrating Face Mask°˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Due to the very cold weather conditions of the past week, my skin is slightly drier than normal (for my international Cherries, It was max. -11 degrees Celsius past week. Due to our humid climate, it felt much colder than how it normal would feel). I found this mask by chance when I went to buy the W7 Cosmetics Banana Blast Face Mask again and I think it is, according to the description, the ideal mask to moisturize my skin.

According to the website where I got the mask from, the W7 Cosmetics Ultra Hydrating Face Mask consists of 2 steps and is the ideal combination to moisturize your skin. This wellness treatment consists of a mask and a nourishing cream, so that the treatment continues after the mask!

The 2 steps are clearly visible, because the mask is split into what I call it the "part of the brain" that contains step 2 and the "part of the face" that contains step 1. Especially now I'm going to explain to you how the mask works and how to use it. No scissors need to be used with this packaging, because you can easily tear everything open.

The W7 Cosmetics Ultra Hydrating Face Mask starts at step 1 which is the mask. We first have to separate the mask from step 2. We do this by finding the dividing line between the light and dark blue. The easiest way is to look at the back of the package. This is where you can see the line most easily. Fold the "brain part" over and separate it from the "face part" (All pictures in this review can be enlarged by clicking on them)

Now that we've got the steps exactly how we want it to be, let's start with the mask. You open the mask by tearing open the bottom of step 1. You probably wonder: "Why not immediately tear open the bottom and then step 2 at the top? Then you don't have to separate". The problem is that if you do this it will be one big mess, because the mask contains a lot of essence and also leaves quite an essence in the packaging. Save the mess and get it right immediately (^.^)

According to W7 Cosmetics, the mask contains hyaluronic acid, collagen, Japanese camellia and a blend of lavender, sage and rosemary. It is supposed to remove dead skin cells and other kind of dirt from the face. In addition, the mask must provide intense hydration to the face.

To tell the truth... You can really smell the sage in this mask. I often use white sage in incense form because I like incense and white sage is one of my favorite incense scents, but sage in a mask? Not my favorite! Maybe I get the sage out faster, because I'm used to the scent, but I can also smell the Japanese camellia. I don't smell the lavender and rosemary myself. Since I can get the sage out, I think the mask smells strange, but this of course doesn't mean anything. There is certainly a reason why W7 Cosmetics uses sage in a mask like this.

The mask itself has a clear centerline and a bag, making it easy to apply the mask. The application process was flawless anyway! Very easy to apply the mask. You unfold the mask and notice that the sheet that normally goes around your chin is closed. This is the bag where you can easily place the chin (see photo 2). Not only does this take the chin from the face, but the bag extends below your chin. So there it also brings the essence with hyaluronic acid and collagen. The mask itself is on the large side for my face shape, but you can easily fold a few things. Takes the whole face!

You leave this mask on for 15 to 20 minutes. I left the mask on for 15 minutes as I noticed from the start that the mask was quite strong. (I will come back to the strong side of the mask later). Remove the mask from the face and squeeze the remaining essence into your hand. As you can see, the mask still contains a lot of essence. You can choose to anoint the rest of the essence over the face. This is how you normally use a sheet mask. I didn't use it all the way as it was too much for my face to absorb. So I rinsed the rest of the essence in the sink. Let everything absorb before you use step 2.

TIP !!!

To get your face absorb the essence quicker, use a jade, rose quartz, or other favorite stone roller all over the face.

My personal preference is for a white jade roller with grip. You can easily find these online under "Jade Roller Spikes". The reason I prefer to use a grippy jade roller is because I think it affects blood circulation better than a smooth roller on my face. It does make your skin a little red (as you can see in the photo on the right), but that's the intention.

Furthermore, I personally think that a jade roller with grip improves the skin wake up better. This is of course different for everyone.

TIME FOR STEP 2!
We find the opening of step 2 at a small crack. It's well hidden, but I point to the crack in one of my photos below. You can also see this a lot better when you look at the back. Tear off the "pipette cap" and squeeze the nourishing cream from the package. It's a lot of cream. Spread the cream over your face, neck and décolleté. If you have very dry skin, it is best to use the entire cream. For dry / combination skin like me it is nice not to make everything up. I did this the first time and had to blot off a lot of oil.

This nourishing cream has an oil base due to the Macadamia oil. It also contains shea butter and hyaluronic acid. The cream aims to make the skin look softer, smoother and more youthful.

Result? A soft, smooth and young looking face. Very radiant and provided with optimal hydration! The neck and décolleté are also full of hydration. You can face the day again! In addition, the collagen helps a little against the firmness of the skin.

Personal opinion and score

I recommend the .W7 Cosmetics Ultra Hydrating Face Mask to people with dry, normal or combination skin. Particularly very dry skin, as this mask really provides the optimal hydration it promises. The mask keeps its promises, but is strong in its effect!

At first, the mask started to sting a bit on my skin, but there was no irritation. I personally believe that the sting was because the mask (the essence) was removing the dead skin cells, which I noticed afterwards. I had no more dead skin cells on my skin and there was no longer any flakes. It instantly smoothed my skin. Then I started noticing that my skin was absorbing the hyaluronic acid and collagen. In short... You can feel the mask doing its job which is cool!

It's also true that I didn't make full use of the rest of the essence as it was too much for my face to absorb. This would be good for people with very dry to dry skin. Also, making full use of the nourishing cream is more suitable for people with those skin types. If like me, you suffer from dry / combination skin, I don't recommend using the cream completely. It has an oil base and therefore you have to blot more when your skin has largely absorbed the cream. It also feels a bit tacky.

The conclusion is that this mask keeps its promises and delivers good quality. I'm happy with this mask and I have added it to my current facial care routine. This is not an everyday mask. I recommend this mask for 1 to 2x a week.

My personal score for this product is an 8,5/10!
