Hey Cherries and welcome to a review that has been planned for a long time! This review was also requested a lot and I'm happy that I finally have the opportunity to review the Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip Cleansing Foam!

The Senka collection of Shiseido is one of the most famous collections of the brand. It's primarily focused on hydration and consists of facial cleansing products, masks and even face care products. The Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip Cleansing Foam is a popular cleansing foam from this collection. In addition, this product is known as one of the best cleansing foams from Japan and a number 1 product for 8 years! (2019)

Before we continue, I would like to mention that cleansing foams from Japan are used differently than, for example, cleansing foams from South Korea. In South Korea, most cleansing foams come as a 2 in 1 product. This means, a morning ritual and makeup cleaner in 1 product. In Japan they are not so familiar with it. Cleansing foams are mainly used only as makeup cleaners. While they use a cleansing wash in the morning.

An example of a Japanese cleansing wash that I have reviewed is the "Mentholatum Acnes Creamy Wash", but soon I will review another where you can see the difference better. Which happens to be a product that I have known for years and currently use in my skincare routine. My new skincare routine is coming soon, so if anyone is interested, stay tuned ^_^

Casing
The products from the Senka collection are all very easy to recognize, because almost all of them holds the color blue. Most of the products that you will encounter from this collection all come in a blue casing and a drop with the name of the collection underneath. This tube has a bit of a pearly sheen over the blue. It's a very simple package, yet unique and recognizable. All instructions are on the back of the product. Described in Japanese.

Process and texture
The texture of this product can be compared to a milk lotion, but slightly thicker. It feels super soft and it spreads out easily, but the real challenge lies primarily in creating the foam. Despite the fine texture, it doesn't give much foam to start with. You must continue to replenish it continuously with water until the foam is ready to use. So it's not friendly when it comes to water use, but luckily there are a number of options to reduce water consumption. For example, you can use an automatic facial brush (if you don't like the old-fashioned way) or a cleansing foam net.

A cleansing foam net is a handy tool originally from Japan, but mainly continued in Taiwan that helps to create a large amount of foam. You take a normal amount of cleansing foam in your hand. Then you rub the net (WET!) through the cleansing foam. Keep going until you get a large amount of foam. Some nets have small sponges, speeding up the process. I had one, but I lost it hahaha. So I have to do it with my hands. These nets are easily available online, but a little pricey for a small tool. For a good net you pay around €6,-

In terms of the real process, this product works surprisingly quickly! This is something I didn't see coming for the first time with this product, because it was also not advertised as a fast-acting makeup cleaner. After a few seconds, the makeup starts to adhere to the foam. You can see this process mainly in photo 4, where my makeup on the eyebrows soon go along. It was literally rubbing the face a few times, rinsing and done!

Result
The result is incredible! This is the first makeup cleaner in my entire review career everrrr where I can say literally everything has been taken along. In the last photo you see a cotton pad where I did the final test. After a makeup cleaner I always use a toner to take the last bits of my makeup, but this time there was nothing to take. The cotton pad is just wet from the toner and there is no beige, brown or black to see. As if it's unnecessary!

Personal opinion and score

The Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip Cleansing Foam is one of the best cleansing foams I have ever used in my life so far. Probably the best of them all! The product moisturizes the face after cleansing the makeup. Leaves the face clean, caring and soft. In short, it keeps all its promises! This product can be applied to any skin type, but it's especially recommended for men and women with dry skin type. In addition, this product is also very cheap. You will spend a little more on international web shops, but in Japan this product costs € 3.25. That's really nothing compared to what you get in return!

I also mentioned the only problem with this product in my review. Which is creating the foam. It seems easy with some water, but once you start cleaning, you have to keep track of it, because it changes back to a kind of cream. That's a shame in connection with water use. It's only possible when you have optimum foam using (for example) a cleansing foam net. Otherwise you have to use more of the product which in my opinion is a shame.

In general I am very satisfied with this product and especially the result. My personal score for this product is a 9.5/10!
