Furthermore, the normal creams and this sunscreen are also popular. I have used this sunscreen on my face more often now and I understand why this product is considered one of the most popular sunscreens from South Korea (^.^)

Packaging, texture and fragnance

The packaging and appearance of this product are very simple. COSRX products generally have a very simple appearance. The casing that contains the sunscreen is a squeeze tube. The tube has a white pearl color (a bit difficult to see in the photos.) And on the front, in green we can read what kind of product it is. It also states what the product does / promises. On the back we find instructions in both Korean and English. The tube is closed with a black cap.

The texture of the COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50+ PA+++ is a bit thick. It actually has a texture that I expect from a real sunscreen, but despite the thickness, it spreads nicely on the face. I have had no trouble with this at all. I also noticed that the cream was not sticky. It didn't stick to anything and didn't give a white blur on the face!

The scent of this product is difficult to describe, because it doesn't have a 100% Aloe Vera scent. It's a combination with a certain Citrus scent in my opinion. It's not a strong scent, but it's present. It's a pleasant, fresh fragrance. I personally love the fragrance. I can really keep smelling it when I have it in my hands XD

Promises COSRX

"COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream is a sunscreen with factor 50 and PA+++ that is suitable for all skin types and protects against UVA and UVB radiation. In addition, this cruelty-free cream maintains the moisture content. Thanks to the Aloe Vera extracts in this cream your skin is intensely hydrated and softened. The formula feels light and does not stick to the skin ".

Use the product as follows:

• Apply this sunscreen as the last step in your skincare routine.
• Apply the cream at least 30 minutes before going out in the sun.
• Repeat during the day as needed.

In the photos above, I have applied the product as the last step in my skincare routine. Under this sunscreen, I wear the Kiko Milano Hydra Pro Glow with the Kiko Smart Hydra Shot Eye Gel. I'm using up those products. Just to be clear.... This sunscreen doesn't glow the face. This is really the effect of my regular cream, but this sunscreen can make the glow stand out more as a finish. So it can better affect how your regular cream works.

In the photos below you can see me with makeup and underneath I'm wearing the same skincare routine. As you can see, my makeup stays in place. It doesn't affect the finish of the makeup, but it's very nice underneath. So don't worry that this product will ruin the makeup, because this product won't. The makeup stays in place at the end of the day. However, in one photo you can see redness on my nose. This isn't because of the sunscreen, but I was wearing a face mask almost all the time that day. Because of my glasses, they have to be pressed well on my nose. So ignore my red nose. (>.<)

My personal opinion and score

After using this product on my face more often, I understand why this product is a big hype. Also why this product is one of the most popular sunscreens from South Korea. It literally keeps all of its promises and it feels pleasant on the face. Not greasy, but this of course also depends on your own skin type. My skin type is dry/combination skin and this product works great on my type of skin. It absorbs quickly, doesn't stick, doesn't leave a haze and it sets quite well under makeup. It protects the skin well against the UV rays. Furthermore, this product hydrates the skin better and indeed maintains the moisture content.

What I also really like about this product is that it soothes irritations. My skin is generally acne-prone, but it mostly peaks during the summer months. Although I must say that I currently don't suffer from acne. Occasionally a pimple, but it softens the skin around it. For people who are very sensitive to acne and suffer from painful pimples or irritated skin after removal, this can be a solution. Even with redness on the face.

This product is very mild on the skin and as far as I can judge I agree that this product is made for all skin types. Even for sensitive skin! WARNING! If you are allergic to Aloe Vera, I recommend avoiding this product!

The only downside I could find in this sunscreen is that it's not waterproof. I tested this with a normal face wash (water only). It goes off very easily with water. So you don't want to apply this product shortly before jumping into the water. Use it wisely, because the tube has a volume of 50ml and the cost for this product is around €13,-

In short... The hype surrounding this product is well worth it! This product scores a 9.5/10 with me.
