Erborian CC Cream
02-11-2026

Hey Cherries and for those who don’t know me, my name is Sabrina, and I go by the name SabrinaLaCherry in the blogging world. Welcome to my review of the Erborian CC Cream with SPF30. A while back, I reviewed the Erborian CC Red Correct Cream with SPF25 for you all.

Before I switched to the "Red Correct" version of the CC cream, the one shown in the photo was my absolute favorite when it came to color-correcting creams. It had been a staple in my makeup bag for several years, and while I still use it, I reach for it less often than the Red Correct version. I now mostly use the original CC cream, which I’ll be reviewing for you today during the summer months, as it doesn't feel like a heavy layer on my face and suits my summer complexion better.

For those who haven’t heard of Erborian before: it is a cosmetics brand with both French and South Korean roots. It was founded in 2007 by Hojung Lee, a South Korean scientist specializing in herbal medicine and French entrepreneur Katalin Berenyi. To keep things focused, Erborian centers its approach on Korean skincare philosophy. The brand is particularly well-known for using high-tech, multi-use formulas designed to improve the skin over time. As a result, it is positioned as a high-end brand rather than a drugstore label. Erborian products come with a higher price tag, making them less accessible to everyone; however, the brand frequently runs promotions that make them more affordable for limited periods. A standard-sized tube costs approximately €45 (as of 2026), while a travel-sized tube costs around €24 (as of 2026).

PS This photo was taken a few days later than the original photos in the review. I had intended to use a different photo, but I accidentally deleted it permanently, so I’ve used this one instead.

Casing, Texture, Color, and Scent

The product comes in a simple, light-grey squeeze tube with a silver cap. The back features information about the product in both French and English. While packaging in other countries might use different languages, this is what appears on the version sold in the Netherlands. As I’ve mentioned in several previous reviews, I’ve never personally been a fan of squeeze tubes; they tend to make it all too easy to dispense more product than you actually need. I generally prefer pump bottles or tubes with a pump mechanism, but these are rarely used for BB and CC creams. So I often end up with these types of squeeze tubes. The upside here is that the opening is slightly smaller than those found on BB and CC creams from other cosmetic brands, which makes controlling the dosage a bit easier.

The texture of the CC cream is not watery, but it is on the thin side. It is a white cream with a greyish cast, designed primarily to even out the skin tone.

In my opinion, the scent is very pleasant! Personally, I think it smells absolutely lovely. It has the same fragrance as the "Red Correct" version.
A fresh blend of florals and a characteristic oriental scent.

Unlike the "Red Correct" version (which only offers one shade), the original CC cream comes in 3 different shades, namely:
1) Clair (for light skin tones)
2) Doré (for medium skin tones)
3) Caramel (for medium to dark skin tones)

Since I no longer use a tanning bed, I have switched from the shade Doré to Clair over the years.

Promises and how it works
Erborian promises that its original CC cream makes the skin look more even, fresh, and radiant instantly. It serves as the perfect base for a natural, everyday look. Formulated with Centella Asiatica leaf extract, sodium hyaluronate, and color-correcting pigments, it helps refine the complexion, hydrate the skin, and create a natural glow. With an SPF of 30 (a standard level of protection), the cream also shields the skin from the sun.

Let me walk you through how this product actually works on the skin.

First set: No make-up
Second set: The product applied to my face with my full make-up look
Third set: Results after 10 hours of wear (without any touch-ups)

For the second set of photos, I finished my makeup look and the CC cream. I lightly set the CC cream with the Sephora 12H Mattifying Powder (which is transparent, so it doesn’t alter the color of the CC cream). I also applied a touch of bronzer—NYX Professional Makeup Buttermelt Bronzer in "02 All Buttad Up" to my cheeks. On my eyes, I used a liquid eyeliner: the Infaillible Grip 24H Matte Liquid Liner by L'Oréal Paris. I also added some glitter eyeshadow. The product I used for this isn't actually an eyeshadow, but rather an all-over body glitter/highlighter in powder form. Specifically, Fenty Beauty’s All Over Diamond Veil in the shade "How Many Carats?!" Finally, I filled in my eyebrows using an eyebrow pencil (L'Oréal Paris Infaillible 24H Brow Filling Triangular Pencil in "3.0 Brunette").

Personal opinion and score
The Erborian CC Cream is worth the high price tag. It works exceptionally well and truly delivers on its promises. No unnecessary fuss! It provides light coverage that evens out the skin tone, hydrates, and leaves the complexion looking fresh. You only need a small amount per application, and it spreads beautifully across the entire face, so a single tube lasts a long time. Did you happen to use a bit too much? No worries, because it blends in seamlessly. I love that this CC cream is so forgiving if you apply a little extra; after all, it’s essentially a skincare product.

You can build up the coverage slightly by applying an additional thin layer, followed by the rest of your makeup. This product is ideal for those who don’t need much makeup or who aren’t looking for a heavy makeup base. Simple, lightweight and with a fantastic result!

My personal score for this product is a 9.5/10!
