Erborian CC Red Correct Cream
19-04-2026
Hey Cherries, and for those who don't know me, my name is Sabrina and I go through blogging life as SabrinaLaCherry. Welcome to my review about the Erborian CC RED CORRECT CREAM with SPF25.
The CC cream I am going to review for you today is a color-correcting cream that I have been using as makeup for 2 years. This product has been on the market for over 5 years, but I only started using it in the last 2 years. Over the course of those 2 years, I have gone through 3 tubes, and the tube pictured here is from September 2025. In addition, I previously had the regular CC cream and even BB cream from the brand, but I currently don't have either of those in my makeup bag. If you would like to know what I thought of those products back then, I would be happy to buy them for you to review. I was under the impression that I had once saved reviews of these products as drafts, but no. So feel free to let me know if you are interested in my opinion on the products I previously used from Erborian.
Erborian is both a French and South Korean cosmetics brand. It was founded in 2007 by Hojung Lee, a South Korean scientist specializing in the creation of herbal medicine, and the French entrepreneur, Katalin Berenyi. To make things easier, Erborian has chosen to focus on Korean skin therapy. The brand is particularly known for using high-tech, multi-use formulas to improve the skin over time. As a result, it is not a drugstore brand, but a high-end brand. Erborian products are pricey. Therefore, they are not affordable for just anyone, but they often have good promotions on the products, making them slightly more affordable for a period. The standard tube costs approximately €45,- (2026) and a travel-size tube costs approximately €24,- (2026).
Packaging, Texture, and Scent
The product comes in a green squeeze tube with a silver cap that, thanks to the logo and flowers, has a somewhat oriental appearance. The back contains information about the product in French and English. Packaging in other countries may have a different language, but this is what is displayed on the packaging sold in the Netherlands. Personally, I have never been a fan of squeeze tubes. The reason is that there is always a tendency to take slightly more product than necessary. I prefer pump bottles or pump tubes. However, you do not often come across these types of packaging in BB and CC creams. So, I often end up with this type of squeeze tube. The advantage is that the opening is slightly smaller in size than in other BB and CC creams from other cosmetic brands. So, dispensing is just a little easier.
The texture of this CC cream is slightly thicker than that of a standard CC cream. It has a bit of a gel texture. It is a green cream intended to camouflage and cover redness on the face.
In my opinion, the scent is heavenly. This product smells so good! It is a fresh combination of flowers and a typical oriental scent.
Promises and Performance
Erborian promises that the CC Red Correct Cream immediately neutralizes redness by 33% for a visibly more even complexion and a natural, radiant finish using green, encapsulated pigments. The new and improved formula is enriched with 2% Korean Centella Asiatica for instant soothing and SPF 25 for sun protection. Suitable for fair skin prone to redness.
To combat natural redness in the skin, we therefore need the opposite color, which is green. Green must be able to neutralize or camouflage redness. I have had redness in my skin since childhood. As I got older, it largely calmed down on its own, and I now have redness in the form of a natural blush. For special occasions and outings, I like to camouflage my redness. So, I am going to show you why I have been satisfied with this product for 2 years.
First of all, I have to apologize, because I completely forgot to take photos of myself before applying the product. You can see my skin without makeup in many reviews. So for readers who don't know me yet, feel free to take a look through my blog (^_^)
In the photos below, I have applied the product all over my face. I pulled my hair back using a "Get Ready With Me" headband. You can find these everywhere these days, but I got this one cheaply at WIBRA. With just one layer of the product, you can see how the cream evens out my skin. My redness isn't completely covered, but it is to a very large extent.
In the photos below, I have applied my full makeup. I lightly set the CC cream with the NYX Professional Makeup Can't Stop Won't Stop Mattifying Powder in 03 Light Medium. I then applied a bronzer (NYX Professional Makeup Buttermelt Bronzer in 02 All Buttad Up) lightly to my cheeks. Eyeliner is, of course, something I can't do without. I have worn glasses since childhood and I like to emphasize my eyes. 9 out of 10 times I use eyeliner, but I also like to use eyeshadow occasionally for a change. The eyeliner I used is called Infaillible Grip 24H Matte Liquid Liner and it is from the brand L'Oréal Paris. Finally, I filled in my eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil (NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil in 01 Taupe).
*10 hours later*
Slowly time to wrap up the day. In the photos below, you will find the result from 10 hours later! Here I am sitting on my bed in loungewear. My bronzer and powder have faded throughout the day. Only the cream, eyeliner, and eyebrow pencil held up. Despite the powder fading, my redness is still largely camouflaged, but the cream is starting to melt and results in an unpleasant feeling on the face. So, to keep the result looking good, you will need to touch up with powder every now and then.
Personal opinion and score
The Erborian CC Red Correct Cream is worth the high price. Not only because the cream works very well, but also because you only need to use a small amount at a time. You don't need to apply much, as it spreads nicely over the face. So a tube lasts a very long time. Did you use a little too much? No worries, because it blends in beautifully and well. I love that this product is forgiving when you use a bit more, because in fact, it is simply a skincare product.
I have been satisfied with this product for 2 years now, but I have to warn everyone with tanned skin: if you are naturally tanned or have a summer tan, this cream is too light in color to use. You can only use it if you combine it with a darker BB/CC cream or foundation. During the days when I still used the tanning bed a lot, I combined this product with the regular Erborian CC cream in Doré, and it worked very well. So maybe a handy tip (^_^)
My personal score for this product is a 9.5/10!
