Karadium Sparkle Tone Up Air Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ (#21 Light Beige)

Last Tuesday I wrote a review about the Karadium Fitting Cover Mesh cushion. That's the left cushion on the right photo. Yesterday I tried out the other Karadium cushion. So today I write my first impression review about it.

 

The cushion I'm going to talk about today is called the Karadium Sparkle Tone Up Air Cushion and it contains the highest spf you can get in these types of products. Which is SPF50 + PA+++. 4 pluses !!! :O
So that's the right cushion on the right photo. This cushion looks much fresher compared to the cover mesh cushion. It's red with gold and has the same opening/closing as the cover mesh cushion. A button opening. These types of openings are my favorite, because you just have to click on the button and the lid will open automatically. So you don't have to use force to open the container. In addition, there is little chance that it will open automatically in the bag. I find it very useful to take cushions with me to important occasions to update my make-up if necessary :​​D


When we open the cushion, we come across the applicator that is surrounded with white. Just like with the cover mesh cushion, this applicator is also quite small compared to most applicators that I have come across. What I immediately noticed was that this applicator was harder than the one in the cover mesh cushion. In addition, this cushion does contain the normal, classic filling. A sponge that has absorbed the product.

 

This version also comes in two colors. Number 21 "Light Beige" (my choice) and number 23 "Natural Beige". I chose number 21, because I currently am in my winter color and I'm pale in both winter and spring season.

Texture and odor
The texture of this cushion is watery, but also a bit solid. It's a mix between normal and inky. I hardly see this in cushions, but usually these are one of the best cushions you can come across. Oops ... Now I have told the result a little o_o The smell was a bit disappointing. I don't smell anything but the normal smell of powder and the plastic of the container. Anyway ... Let's go on ^.^
 
I have not yet applied the product in the photos below. You can see that I'm currently suffering from hyper pigmentation and an uneven skin tone. As my gaze indicates on the third photo, we must do something about this soon! So let's see what this cushion has to offer and what my skin will look like after use!

Karadium has made various promises about this cushion. Let's see what this friend from South Korea makes us promise! ^.^

  1. This durable, moisture-resistant cushion offers excellent coverage that blurs large pores and stains perfectly.
  2. With the help of Centella Asiatic extract and chamomile flower extract, this cushion helps to control sebum secretion, to balance the skin and at the same time to offer soothing benefits.
  3. Specially formulated for oily skin and combination skin.

 

Those are what I call very promising promises! But is it all correct? I have applied the product in the photos below.

Okay, this cushion is called Sparkle Tone Up Air Cushion for a reason, because it clearly gives a glow on the face! A very healthy glow and the coverage is better than I expected. I would not say that it's completely dewy, because it also has a powdery finish. I'd rather say semi matt and semi dewy. It has medium to high coverage and has taken along almost my entire redness with hyper pigmentation. A bit of redness shines through, but it looks very natural. As if I have a blush naturally. It has indeed made my skin tone as one. So the given name for this product actually matches the finish.

 

What I was immediately less satisfied with was that it settled in the pores and it does adhere to the fine lines at the eyes, but I was able to easily repair the latter by wiping more with the finger.

 

The entire application process of this cushion was a bit difficult. As stated earlier, the applicator of this cushion is harder than the previous cushion from Karadium. So applying was pretty difficult. I continued patting and pressing the sponge again, otherwise I wouldn't have enough on the applicator to continue. It still absorbs a bit of the product which is a shame, but on the other hand you can blend this cushion very nicely with only patten. You don't have to wipe with the applicator!

PAY ATTENTION! All photos in this and previous reviews (unless, for example, indicated by low light) are not made with filters or have been photo shopped. You look 100% sincerely at the product on my face!

 

What I mainly did yesterday was walking in the village. The weather was great and I also had to go to the store. So I decided to take my time and enjoy the beautiful weather. I also had my first ice cream of the season. I just wanted ice cream. I had to have it, hahahaha! Normally you see me walking around with fruit ice cream, but yesterday I did it completely differently and I walked around with some special flavors. Nice for a change.

 

At the end of the day my redness started to get through a bit more. You can also see this in the photos below, but my bronzer kept the redness covered. LONG LIVE BRONZERS !!!! XD The product oxidized fairly quickly, but it oxidized in a beautifully tinted finish. Which made it more dewy. So at the end of the day the glow really comes out! For the rest, the finish remained exactly as you had expected. Fortunately for me, it no longer attached itself to the pores. You can, for example, use a powder over it if you personally think the glow is too strong for you, but in general a powder is not needed with this product.
 
The result, personal opinion and score
I will once again go through the promises with you, but this time I indicate what is and what is not true. Then I give my personal opinion about this cushion and the score that it ultimately managed to earn.
  1. This durable, moisture-resistant cushion offers excellent coverage that blurs large pores and stains perfectly. TRUE/NOT TRUE
    The cushion is indeed moisture-resistant. I tested this myself with water and the product didn't change at all! So in the worst case you can even use it under the rain (but whether you really want this is the second XD). This cushion doesn't blur the pores what the cover mesh cushion version does. This product also attaches in the pores, but because of the glow it's less noticeable. It fades and covers perfectly stains, redness and hyper pigmentation.
  2. With the help of Centella Asiatic extract and chamomile flower extract, this cushion helps to control sebum secretion, to balance the skin and at the same time to offer soothing benefits. TRUE
    I actually didn't have a breakout of this product yesterday. Not having a breakout of a certain product also means a lot to me, because it's often the case that I have to blot. It indeed balances the skin. So this promise is 100% fulfilled by Karadium.
  3. Specially formulated for oily skin and combination skin. TRUE
    This product is indeed a product that can only be used by people with combination and oily skin. I would also not recommend it for women with dry skin. It does indeed give a glow what most people with dry to normal skin want, but it also has a powdery finish and you would rather not have that. In addition, it contains ingredients that can be drying for people with dry to normal skin. These are especially the ingredients that prevent sebum secretion. So it will attach itself especially to the dry parts of the skin and especially to the face of a dry skin type.

 

Personally, I think this cushion is all worth it and especially to try it out. This is the perfect cushion for daily use! It makes your face shine and look good. You look a lot healthier and it keeps everything well arranged with a combination and oily skin. A pity about the negatives that I mentioned earlier in this review, but as I've always said ... No cushion is 100% perfect and I think Karadium has its reasons why it was made that way. I think this cushion is worth an 8/10! ^.^
